What is Hibiscus and what is it for?

Hibiscus

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. and Hibiscus syriacus L., from the Malvaceae family, have been studied because of the presence of certain compounds, such as phytochemicals (total polyphenols, anthocyanins and ascorbic acid), which provide several health benefits.

Some Benefits of Hibiscus:

Hibiscus is well known for helping to lose weight, but there are several other benefits that this drink provides. It reduces the symptoms of depression and anxiety by having several vitamins and minerals, relaxing the mind and body. It contains antioxidants that act by reducing bad cholesterol levels in the body and protect the body from heart disease and blood vessels. The flower also relieves menstrual symptoms and PMS.

And it does not stop there: hibiscus controls blood pressure and helps in digestion, making the body is able to digest food and eliminate waste quickly, a factor that helps weight loss.
