Acai (Euterpe oleracea Mart.)
Açaí is rich in proteins, fibers, lipids, vitamin E and minerals, and has high levels of antocianin pigments. The açaí fruit is also rich in flavonoids (antocianins), a class of antioxidant substances that help fight free radicals and consequently reduces skin ageing. Our body has enzymes that capture those free radicals, but as we get older, these enzymes are less active and so the flavonoids found in the açaí fruit help capture the free radicals instead and thereby help fight heart diseases, cancer and other age-related degenerations. The açaí fruit has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiasthmatic and antithrombotic properties.

 

Acerola Cherry (Malpighia glabra L.)
The Acerola Cherry is rich in ascorbic acid, carotene (vitamin A), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thyamin (vitamin B1), niacin, calcium, phosphorus, iron, dextrose, fructose and proteins.
Being a rich source of vitamin C, the acerola cherry avoids weakness, irritability, fatigue, loss of appetite, and reduces the occurrence of infectious diseases, muscle pains, articulation pains, besides helping in the treatment of liver diseases.
As for caroteneoids, beta-carotene is one of the caroteneoids mainly found in the acerola cherry, as well as lutein, violaxanthin, beta-cryptoxanthin, alpha-carotene, cis-beta-carotene and neoxanthin, though in lower amounts.
Camu-Camu (Myrciaria dubia Mc Vaugh)
The camu-camu fruit is widely used because of its high levels of vitamin C, quite higher than most cultivated plants: the amount of ascorbic acid in the camu-camu fruit is 1.5 times higher than in the acerola cherry; 13 times higher than in cashew and 65 times higher than in lemon.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is its main component, besides carotene, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and mineral salts (iron, calcium and phosphorus) and a significant amount of Flavonoids.

 

Garlic and onion
Garlic and onion contain alicin, stimulate the immune system, and are scavengers of free radicals; they reduce cholesterol and triglycerids. The best quality onions are red.

 

Green Tea (Camelia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze)
Green Tea is rich in polyphenols, which prevent cancer and heart diseases.
Guaranį (Paullinia cupana)
Guaraná is rich in caffeine, tannins, theobromine, saponines. Guaraná is an effective general tonic, as it is a physical stimulant.
The presence of tannins also stimulates the bowel secretion, thereby regulating it.
Pineapple - (Ananas comosus (L.) Merril)
Pineapple has antiseptic, astringent and cleansing properties. It has a high concentration of proteolytic enzymes, and contains potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamins A, B and C.


 

Yerba Mate (Ilex paraguariensis St. Hil.)
Yerba-Mate improves digestion and has antirheumatic, diuretic, stimulating and laxative effects.
The main components of Yerba-Mate may be associated with the following groups: polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, vitamins, among which, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin B1 (thiamin), vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), nicotinic acid, vitamin A, folic acid and derived products of pantothenic acid, and saponines.
